10 handbag essentials you have to pack for a wellness festival

With summer in full swing, I have compiled a list of the 10 things you do not want to forget if you’re heading to a wellness festival this summer. If you’re still trying to decide which festival is the one for you, head over to my Wellness Festival Post to get some inspiration.

1. A reusable coffee cup

There are coffee stands usually scattered throughout each festival and if you’re like me, you’ll want a caffeine hit to get you through the sweaty classes. I recommend bringing your own reusable coffee cup, as most single use cups are sadly not recyclable due to their tricky combination of paper and plastic. 2. A reusable water bottle

Many wellness festivals don’t even have bottled water as an option and instead have fill stations scattered around festival grounds. Having a full water bottle will ensure you’re not only hydrated but feel great all day. Check out an extensive list of reusable bottles here.


3. A tote bag

You will get given loads of lovely goodies, freebies and you may even treat yourself to some new yoga pants while you’re at the festival. To avoid plastic or paper bags, bring your own reusable tote bag to store your treats away in!

4. SPF

There’s nothing worse than a red face at a festival, so keep your skin protected and glowing with a handy SPF in your handbag. Choose a formula that is light, and breathable. Glamour have compiled an amazing list for all skin types.

5. Facial spray

You will be hot and sweaty for the duration of the festival. Do yourself a favor by taking a moment every few hours to spritz your face with a cooling and luxurious-smelling facial spray. Vogue have recently rounded up the best face mists.

6. Sunglasses

Make sure to pack your sunnies, but now is not the time to splurge on designer shades. Instead try fashion-forward but affordable options from sustainability minded brands. Even if you lose them, you know they’ll at least go to another yogi and you’re not out hundreds of pounds.

7. Lip balm

Make sure to pack a high-moisture, high-SPF lip balm to protect your lips. Waking up in a hot tent, with burnt and chapped lips is no fun for anyone. Trust me, this is one not to forget.

This used to be my biggest downfall at Festivals. I have spent so many festivals wandering around aimlessly looking for my friends, only to go back to the tent in the hope that someone might return to save me. So for me, having a portable charger to keep my phone alive is one of the first things I pack.

Soap is pretty much non-existent in portable loos, and you’ll want to keep clean and fresh in all kinds of muddy festival scenarios. Keep the nasties away by packing antibacterial hand wipes and keeping them close AT ALL TIMES.
